265 Sunny Days
A classic Mediterranean climate — hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters — makes outdoor living a defining feature of life in West Sacramento.
Spring · Mar–May
Wildflower season, almond and stone-fruit blossom drives, ideal cycling weather.
Summer · Jun–Sep
The signature Delta Breeze — cool air sweeping in from San Francisco Bay through the Delta — drops evening temperatures into the 60s on most nights.
Fall · Oct–Nov
Long, golden afternoons, the salmon run, harvest events. Among the most beautiful seasons.
Winter · Dec–Feb
Snow is essentially unheard of in the Valley. Daffodils and camellias bloom even in the coldest months.
The Outdoor Life
Sacramento Valley is one of the best places in America for year-round outdoor entertainment — patios, fire pits, and pool decks are usable nine-plus months a year. Heirloom tomatoes, citrus (lemons and oranges grow in front yards), figs, persimmons, pomegranates, roses, and lavender all thrive here. Cycling and running happen without ice or salt. Boating runs April through October.
The Rivers homes are built to take full advantage of all of it: covered patios, generous backyards, pool-ready lots in many Silvershore and Grandview floor plans, and front porches that face the neighbors.
